I really like APC's cover of Imagine because it drastically changes the scenery the song paints, going from some hippy talking about sunshine and rainbows, to a world devoid of purpose because there's nothing left to live for.
Though this song already had the grim lyrics, hate and prejudice and all that, but masked with a dance type song. A lot of 80's songs did that, dark lyrics, upbeat music. This cover kinda matches the lyrics to music, giving it a more "stressful" feeling on it, which does give it a new feeling of being worn down by hate unending. A bit delirious from it. Though, it's just not the same flip that some of their other covers had.
