In 1962 my dad got some Billy Vaughn LPs and a Grundig stereo. Made 3 reel-to-reel tapes, and got me hooked on Billy Vaughn. I was 12. In 1981 after writing to Vaughn, who lived in Bowling Green, KY at the time, invited me to sit in on drums when he was playing at a club there.I never got the chance, but I sure do love his music after all these years! Thanks!
My father bought the La Paloma tape cassette which he used to play on his Philips N2205, back in the early seventies in Mairiporã, São Paulo... this delicious version of Aquarela do Brasil was and is among my favorites, but in fact the entire album is a joy to ears and soul... thanks so much for uploading.
