I've had this song stuck in my head since 1964/5ish. Never new who sung it till now. I remember playing it to death when off school with the mumps. Still know the words.
Well, I've just listened to this song again for the first time in perhaps 50 years. As a young teen and still with only 'dreams of fair women', I bought Ginny Come Lately which I loved for its somewhat haunting melody and I remember being surprised that the flip side was also pretty good. Here in the UK, I recall Ginny Come Lately rising quite high in the charts and thus getting its fair share of air time.
This was the B side to Ginny Come Lately, i can remember finding this on 45 in my mothers record collection i think i played this track more than Ginny come lately and i absoloutely adore that track too
i never understould why he got overlooked by radio either and the guy has a really good voice with some really classic tracks to his name.
