IN 1948 EDDY WAS THE ONLY NAME ON THE CHARTS !

This makes me nostalgic for a time I never knew.

This song has to be in a fallout game

Eddy Arnold reminds me of my father, because of his old cassette tape in his rusted car he cherished but would let me borrow when I got a break from school and now these days, when I get a break from work. Thank GOD he's still on this Earth, but as he grows older I know that one day I'll cry even harder when listening to these Eddy Arnold tunes. Life is too damn short and forever precious. Love you, Daddy.

In 1953 the radiomen on the destroyer I was serving on off the coast of N. Korea  piped in programs from the Armed Forces Radio Network.   At noon time every day the DeeJay would announce "It's Eddie Arnold, the Honshu Cowboy" and lead off with the Cattle Call.

My own private Idaho...used this to great effect,and I mean really great.

so beautiful. This makes me so sad when I hear these kind of songs because songs are no longer sung like this. I want to start crooning along with him when I hear this song. I love how he uses the almost yodel like croon.
