You, yes you
You, do it again
You, yes you
You, do it again
Whispers in my ear, perverted thoughts I hear
Bondage and isolation, final destination

"I have neither the intellect nor the civility to contribute meaningfully to this conversation. Have I mentioned lately that I dislike people different than me, specifically including gay people?"
I was a little on my toes during the intro but as soon as the main melody kicked in I thought "oh yes, this is good!" Front Line Assembly never disappoints!
Reminds me of an updated Equinox, a side project of Bill Leeb which was made in 1998, so yeah dubstep has some roots in drum and bass, and has actually been around a lot longer than people think, it just never broke into the mainstream like it has now. I must say the sound quality of this FLA track has improved by leaps and bounds since Equinox, it would be interesting to hear a remastered Equinox (hint hint).
Rules (or characterizations) are meant to be broken, especially in art. I too think this is dubstep style, whether or not it is 100% dubstep is not important, it comes from there. And I actually like how FLA uses elements from dubstep and mixes it with all their other sounds.
Their okay...used to listen to their old stuff.. I'd jam hard if I was in the mood, heh I do sense a dub step kind of twang in there at some parts, but way hardly..
To be honest, I think the sound is fresh and very much in line with FLA. I love the fact that they aren't doing the same thing over and over. I love this culmination of sounds and styles. Saw them live in NYC last month and they were incredible live. Bill and Rhys are really cool people, they were hanging out with the fans before the show. FLA is a creative and forward moving entity, not to mention a class act.
Man, a lot of people are complaining about dubstep. Which is ironic, because dubstep is a slow, soft, mixture of Jamaican Dub and 2-Step Garage which is pretty much the opposite of this.
