I know your voice when the words you speak lie I know your face when you're trying to hide your fears I know your breath when a thought makes you cry again I know you well and I've seen your tears And it all began with you I was born then died you came to me And it all began with you on the day you made the world When you whisper my name I'll be with you When you reach out your hand I'll be with you When you walk to the light I'll be with you When you stand before God I'll be with you All that we are Is more than I dreamed All that we shared Is more than a life can hold All that we have Is more than we'll ever need All that we lost Is nothing but time And it all began with you And it ends for me the day you leave And it all began with you So today we stop the world When you whisper my name I'll be with you When you reach out your hand I'll be with you When you walk to the light I'll be with you When you stand before God I'll be with you

Heard My Name Is Ruin... immediately broke down and bought the album. Heard this song... and just broke down. Decades of listening to this man and I love him more now than ever.

Says so many things to everyone who needs it. Not being morbid. But I'll want this played at my funeral.

I couldn't be happier that "Savage" appears to be such a success for Gary (at the time of writing it is number 2 in the U.K. album chart. His first chart entry apparently for 35 years!) . The album is incredible and deserves to heard. It is without a doubt the best album he has released since "Pure". It is a beautifully crafted album and gets better and better with repeated listening. Less industrial than Splinter and Jagged, with some wonderfully subtle melodies and beautiful synth sounds reminiscent of early Numan. This particular track is already a favourite, although I'm somewhat puzzled by negative comments elsewhere claiming that it's ripping off "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak. Numan has previously stated that he's a massive fan of the song and although it's fair to say that this particular song does have echoes of Wicked Game, it's unfair to call it a rip off. Listening to it, it's the 'chorus' that is probably the reason why it's being compared, simply because it does sound very similar to Wicked Game. Other than that, it's a beautiful, delicate, moving song.

i really don't think Gary would read the comments on his videos, but Gary, I have been feeling so absolutely terrible as of late. Nothing seems to shake it and every day is a battle to be ok. This song, it's perfect. It sums up exactly how I feel with a situation I'm in. I can't help but lie here on this Monday evening and you've helped me to actually let out this emotion that I've been so numb to feel. I feel like the air after it's rained. Thank you. This has truly touched me. You are amazing.

He moves with the times. Not many can. Very under-rated.

His new album Savage is number 1 in the UK. America has no clue what real music is.

Absolutely bawled my eyes out. Gary goes full on Hans Zimmer and cranks up the emotion to breaking point. Beautiful, magnificent and astonishing.

Gary's fondness for Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" filters through, for me, in this track - which is no bad thing. Interesting and encouraging to hear Numan push his vocals. Good stuff!
