I have both Filmore West albums (King Curtis and Aretha) in vinyl and as CDs and I just never grow tired of listening to them.

These kind of  shows that bill Graham put on were like a school of music. If you didn't know about a particular musician or genre of music just drop in at the Fillmore Friday or Saturday night.  It was more than just acid rock although seeing Albert  King on acid (us, not him) was almost hallucinogenic

this was one of those records I discovered as a kid in my mother and father's collection. opened my eyes wide to the world of music. I would listen to this over and over trying to imagine how boss "Fillmore west" must have been that night.

Can anyone wonder why Steely Dan recruited Bernard Purdie as their drummer? Tighter than a knot on a pair of twenty year old sneakers. The introduction alone (this track) was worth the price of admission that night. Thank the Lord they recorded it for release so we can listen to it today. King Curtis.....RIP -- beyond excellent.
