Greening a galaxy light-wise, spring by the comet
Springs by the comet, driftwood on a foreign shore
Greening a galaxy light-wise, autumns a blanketing of rain
Watching it fly through the open door, eye of the shadow
line after line
chasing the shadow
watching it fly through the open door
Chasing the shadow, summers a physical domain
Watching it fly through the open door, winters the silence
Driftwood on a foreign shore, who could ask for more
Spring by the comet, winters the silence
Eye of the shadow, driftwood on a foreign shore Seasons, chasing the shadow
Eye of the shadow, autumns a blanketing of rain, winters the silence
eye of the shadow
Greening a galaxy light-wise, line after line
Spring by the comet, driftwood on a foreign shore, greening a galaxy light-wise
Eye of the shadow, winters the silence, line after line
Greening a galaxy light-wise, greening a galaxy light-wise
Spring by the comet, greening a galaxy light-wise
Watching it fly through the open door, eye of the shadow
Driftwood on a foreign shore, greening a galaxy light-wise
line after line
Sometimes it's hard to notice bands when they're ahead of their time. Believe me, pietrocalgremio, when I heard that instrumental break at 2:00 I noticed that multi-part harmony, I certainly noticed it man ;)
Oh, man, to be in high school again.
Eye of the shadow: Summers a physical domain;
Winters the silence; Autumns a blanketing of rain;
Springs by the comet, greening a galaxy light-wise;
Eye of the shadow: Weathers a hollowing of eyes ...
Driftwood on a foreign shore ...Time after time, chasing the shadow,
Watching it fly through the open door ...
Line after line springs by the comet:
Cast into space, who could ask for more ?
Beautiful song !
An amazing memory brought back to life as I revisited the past. 3rd row center stage seats at the Riviera Theatre in
CHI - town 1977 Such pristine clarity as I watched and listened through the ( clear window pane ) !!!! Ya Dig!!!???
I was a friend of Starcastle's bass guitarist, Gary Strater. Yes, I know that Starcastle was the best YES-soundalike band ever, but they also had a unique Prog Rock sound which made their music their own. One of the greatest Prog bands ever.
I loved this album when it first came out! Yes, it does sound similar to the British band, YES, but it still stands alone as a great collection of songs! WELL DONE, STARCASTLE!!!
The cool cover first caught my attention ...after reading the song titles and what instruments were played I bought it ...I was delighted to discover a great lp that briefly filled the YES void between the disappointing Relayer and what turned out to be never again from YES
