In your presence now, we are speechless
you have saved us
you have raised me from the grave
my lips are like clouds
You have saved us, in your presence now, i m astonished and amazed
that will trade heaven s throne for a cross
We are speechless, my lips are like clouds, i m astounded as i consider how
I m astounded as i consider how, it s a story too great for words
and i am speechless
i am silenced by your wondrous grace
We stand in awe of your mercy, you have shown us, you have raised me from the grave
We are speechless, with this breathtaking view of your grace Speechless, you have shown us the love that leaves us speechless
with this breathtaking view of your grace
We stand in awe of your mercy, with this breathtaking view of your grace, the god of this whole universe
we are speechless
I am speechless, i am silenced by your wondrous grace Curtis, we stand in awe of your grace
That will trade heaven s throne for a cross, trying to figure you out Curtis, we stand in awe of your cross
And i am speechless, from the grave
Trying to figure you out, you have shown us the love that leaves us speechless
I m astonished and amazed, that we should be called the sons and daughters of god
a love that leaves us speechless
We stand in awe of your mercy, i m astounded as i consider how
i am speechless
a love that leaves us speechless
i m astounded as i consider how
you have raised me from the grave
We stand in awe of your grace, so what kind of love can this be
We stand in awe of your mercy, so what kind of love can this be
I did something similar a few years ago, and God whooped me in BAD on the backside! LOL My cat died, my apartment almost burned down, and my car broken into (smashed window) and my cell phone stolen. The result? I learned my lesson and I'm NEVER having any other God in my life but God himself! :)
When I first heard this song by Steven Curtis Chapman, I was Speechless. It is so beautiful to worship God through music. He is a fantastic example of this music.

GOD Almighty ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit) has a way of getting My attention , via Jesus Christ of Nazareth, The Son of GOD, that leaves Me awestruck and speechless. Amen and Roger That!!
"Speechless" wants me to rave about what the Lord has done for me by handing my life over to Him. I can not and do not want to keep this to myself and I want to share with others the gift that He has given me. To have been Blessed with the most powerful love that exists just wants to make me yell ofhe glory int the name of Jesus.
I used to listen to this song and album all the time in the car because my mom had the CD and I liked listening to whatever she had playing as a kid. Back then, the meaning of the song never fully came through as I had little understanding of God despite coming to Him for the first time at the age of 6. Looking back on this song now, having grown more and more in my understanding of Christ's ways through Scripture, I can fully sense God's awe, power, and mercy knowing all He's done, is doing, and will do for us and it leaves me speechless. That's the amazing thing about growing up on Christian music. You can both be nostalgic about it and understand it better as you become older and wiser in your walk with God!
A big thanks to God and Steven Curtis Chapman for the memories and the true meaning of music!
It's funny, I'm wearing my Speechless shirt from this tour. My wife surprised me with tickets to this show in Akron, Oh for my birthday. He was here with Geoff Moore. It was like the 6th time I'd seen him but it was still great. I dig this shirt out every now and then and my wife keeps saying she is going to throw it out as it has more holes in it than just about anything. But I love it.
speechless is my 3rd favorite scc album. next to more to this life and the great adventure. awesome!! but this song makes me feel closer to God every time i hear it.
