The Alarm - Sold Me Down The River download song

I don't always listen to The Alarm, but when I do, so do the neighbors.

In 1989, we had a very brief time when all this good shit suddenly came out. This, Guadalcanal Diary, etc., so much good stuff in such a short time.

I use to play this in a band back in the 80s -90s and every time we played it, people went nuts. Many times people would ask me WHO SANG THAT SONG.....? The Alarm.....great band and always a pleasure to play drums too. Thanks for such a catchy tune.

the alarm are a welsh band from rhyl in north wales not from ireland .

It's nice to hear a riff from the late 80's that doesn't sound.....exactly.....like...."Bang A Gong"

I almost blew out my speakers today listening to this, took me back!!

They also recorded this song in Welsh. I only heard that on the radio when I was visiting LA, on KROQ. I already knew the song and liked it, and it took me a few hearings to comprehend that this was a version in another language.

The dummies who mixed this version left out the original ending

I wish the full length 5 min 30 sec version from the 1989 Change album is here but I'll settle for the 45 version b/c it's the only studio version here at YT.
