Well if you think she’s everything you could want
And if you think she’s everything that could be
Well I still think the world turns all around her
And I still wish that she belonged to me
I don’t know how I ever could thought that
I’d let her go and still be just the same
Well I found out my world turned all around her
And every where I go I hear her name
Somewhere along the way I don’t know why
I thought that I would want to let her go
But now whenever I see her with you I
Realize how much I didn’t know
So if you tell her everyday you love her
And if you tell her everything she could be
You’ll find out that your world will turn around her
You’ll feel the same if you should set her free
My Heavenly Darling and Eternal Love, Barbra -- now that you are in Heaven, the world turns in your sweet and loving hands. I miss you beyond words. I love you beyond Space/Time. What a great tune by The Byrds!
Those of you who were teens/ young adults during these years grew up with the best music ever. I wasn't alive yet & missed out on the greatest decade of rock. None of today's music can even hold a candle to this. The artists were true musicians then; people who could actually play a real instrument, stay on key without autotune & could maintain flawless 3-part harmonies.... Every generation has it bad times, but you baby boomers had the most amazing music.
Man - I'm discovering a lot of great Byrds tunes thanks to You Tube. Bought "Younger Than Yesterday" back in 87 after hearing several songs from that album on a psych show on the local college radio station and haven't looked back. Criminally underrated band - same with the Kinks.
Beatlesque! But then again, wasn't "If I Needed Someone" Byrdsish? For a moment there in late '65 America and Britain overlapped (BOTH regarding to style and quality!)
Those first four and the 5th. "My Back Pages" take me back to when they all were first released 1965, 66 and on. The first four are locked in my memory forever, I still remember the words to all of them and more.
