Another masterful deep cut that defined the band in the mid-70s. For the record, I don't understand why there is so much resentment about the MM era. This video has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Tommy and Billy and the guitar and drum interplay. Who hasn't dated a "Sweet Maxine". Let's focus on the meaning of this song and less on the politics of the Doobie Brothers.
