They were the top female group at Motown including the Supremes. Berry Gordy pushed the Supremes because he felt they had more crossover appeal. Of course his thing for Diana Ross and the group's internal issues at the time we're key reasons he went with Diana and the Supremes. We true Motown aficionados know that these sisters along with Mary Wells were the backbone of the early success of Motown. You better recognize! !
