I am 66 and an American, but oh how I would give anything to go back to then and hear them perform this and other songs live.
As Americans, we desperately needed to see their respective faces while performing and giving us adequate consumer bonding.
I was too young to be buying records yet and I confused Judith with Mary Travers of Peter, Paul, and Mary.
That trio was great in their own right, but their music paled in comparison to that of the Seekers for me and for so many others.
Just lovely!!! This wonderful band and these wonderful songs are for me the synonym of my happy youth !!! And you bring that back, Rich - thank you very much!!! All my best wishes for a very happy new year...Ebi
Look at 0:53-- Bruce takes Judith's arm and helps her navigate the step. That's a gentleman.
Judith is wearing flats, but a step like that for a shorter person is still a drop.
Rich, Fabulous job by you & Rog on this great Seekers song!! Best combined mix & clip out there. The Opera House took a long time from conception (1955) to opening (1973). One of the most difficult things to construct at the time. Cheers Tiger.
A genius of a song, a genius of a performance, and a genius idea to make a video of the song at the partially built Sydney Opera House.
Absolutely timeless.
