The Stylistics, the Main Ingredient, the O'Jays, the Spinners, the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Moments ("Love On a Two-Way Street"), and on the ladies side, the Three Degrees and the Honeycone. It was a glorious time for black vocal music.
This music is some of the best music ever written, recorded, performed . When I first heard it....it GRABBED ME....and didn't let go. I grew up on this music, along with all of the great music of the 60's. AWESOME1

We were less angry, had less hate, had more respect and courtesy, generally had a complete family unit, Drug epidemic wasn't as bad, had millions more blue collar jobs, and were better educated. In my opinion that's why music was way better back when this song came out. Geez Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, the Spinners, Isaac Hayes, Marvin Gaye, Steve Wonder... the list goes on and on. Again in my opnion the further we get away from God the worse this all gets.... Pray for our Country.....
This is what God put these men on this world to do, sing some of the most beautiful music ever written! This is true Motown! I was lucky enough to grow up listening to the Stylistics and appreciating them. Most music today is inspired by money and fame and not by creativity or talent. Which is sad and is why so many people crave for what used to be. Sure, things change, music changes, but nothing will ever beat true talent and music inspired by the heart and soul! Love the Stylistics with all mine!
I love this song, it takes me back to the best times of my life. I wish they still made songs like this today instead of all that crazy stuff they sing about now. Our songs back then had meaning and made sense. The years have flown by, but I'll never get tired of this music.
