Never took much notice of this record over the years , hearing on tinny sounding radios and mod clubs with no real sound system in place. My mate played it to me not so long ago at a party with some heavyweight speakers and some serious volume....What a tune !

Everyone was awesome on the song. I heard that Sam Samwell-Smith the bass player only produced the original studio version. Jeff Beck the "angry Yardbird" doing some early shredding. Keith Relf with some good harmonica. I never get tired of hearing this classic song.

These guys are said to be the "REAL, Grandfather's of Heavy Metal music" personally I've always given that credit to Led Zeppelin. But considering the lineup of the Yardbirds, I guess I wasn't that far off from the critics.
