Probably the first CD that my parents ever got and played regularly was Tom Petty's Wildflowers. I remember hearing this quite a few times over the years growing up, and appreciating it more and more as I grew older. There are so many good tracks on this album, but this one is the one that always stuck out to me, with the gorgeous use of the piano and the somber tone that just sticks with you.
Hard to believe he's gone now...but this, his legacy, will always remain, and through that he lives forever.

Is there anything this man cannot do? He is an incredible composer who writes most of his own songs, he plays the 6 and 12 string Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Harmonica, Piano and Organ and he can sing. And he appears to be a hell of a nice guy to boot! We need to clone him.

There is so much more to Tom Petty than his "Hit's". I actually prefer the less known music that he has put out. You hear that voice and you know exactly who it is you are listening too. A unique voice and a unique style. He belongs in that group of "High Caliber" artist's. He has certainly proven he belongs there.

Its been nearly a month since Tom died, and six weeks since I last saw him live. I thought I'd finally moved on from my grieving, when I clicked on this song and immediately erupted into tears. I grew up on Tom, right from his beginning, all the way through to his end; And it feels as if I've just lost one of my life's best friends. The whole world took him for granted, even me. He was just always there for us, reminding us of our great past, and that we were still a great people, with a special and cheerishable way about us. He brought all of that out in his songs, and it deeply affected more of us than we'd probably care to admit. Despite his humble looks and attitude, he succeeded in ways most of us can only dream of, yet he never took that for granted, and always loved and respected his friends, family and fans. He was a prolific song writer and consummate professional when it came to performing. He never let you down... In the end, I believe he was perhaps one of our most treasured, and yet perhaps underappreciated soles. His words and music described our heart and our soul as a people...as a nation, from cradle to grave. He was uniquely American, he was one of us, and he will be sorely missed...

Never get tired of this song. One of those songs that trigger personal meaning & deep emotion. Takes on it's meaning to the listener. Mr Petty writes from a place that rings true to me.

While one should never be suprised by the abruptness of death, Tom Petty's passing was unexpected. He was only 66. Tom Petty as a musician is the artist I most revere. Petty's body of work is infinite. He has written hundreds of songs. Petty's Crawling Back To You to me is exceptional. It's a song that will transcend time. The lyrics are soothing ,and Mr. Petty is most assuredly right when he states "most things I worry about never happen anyway". I hope to partake of this wisdom. Thank you and God Bless You Tom Petty!

This is my favorite song by Tom Petty ... I can't even explain why!? It's just a feeling .. I get the chill everytime I hear the intro.. I'm a huge fan of badass riffs and solos, wich tom petty and the heartbreakers does pretty well, but this song is different... It got me like never before.. thank you Tom.
