When I started playing in garage bands in the late 60's everyone was trying to get some of that Vanilla Fudge mojo into their sound. These guys always had it and everyone from Deep Purple to Led Zep emulated them to some extent.

My groups opened for the Vanilla Fudge twice. Once with South Michigan Avenue and another time with STOVE. The audience was mesmerized. Never had seen that much energy and hard rock music ever before. One of my guys looked at me and said “the beast of rock has arrived”. Tim was with them both times. 1967-1968. Miss Tim. He really owned that bass.

Too bad Tim was not playing I had spoken to Vince about 10 years ago about a reunion of Vanilla Fudge at the time all of the older 70s bands where coming out. Mark was holding out for some reason But its great to see them doing there thing that they do so well. thanks for posting

These guys are masters of taking a song and rendering it out of all recognition to its original sound. I absolutely love their version of 'keep me hangin' on' psychedelic master-piece.

PLAYED IT TODAY..STILL GOT MY "CHOPS".
