not a sob story
it s so much that i could never say to your face
it must be her
It s so much that i could never say to your face, cause we ll never be the way we were, when you are at a age now
It s so much that i could never say to your face, now you must look after her the way she did for you, at your priority
Realize that you don t have to answer to no man, she can t always be there just to hold you down, when you live life like it s so run-through
Realize that you don t have to answer to no man, cause she doesn t need a child she needs a friend
now you must look after her the way she did for you
when you live life like it s so run-through
it s so much that i could never say to your face
now you must look after her the way she did for you
now you must look after her the way she did for you
But how can i expect you to understand, now you must look after her the way she did for you
it s so much that i could never say to your face
responsibility comes down to you
It must be her, cause she doesn t need a child she needs a friend
Now you must look after her the way she did for you, the way we were
Not a sob story, cause we ll never be the way we were
Cause she doesn t need a child she needs a friend, not a sob story
at your priority
cause we ll never be the way we were
Now you must look after her the way she did for you, so find your place
The way we were, when she bore you before me, now you must look after her the way she did for you
Now you must look after her the way she did for you, cause we ll never be the way we were
but how can i expect you to understand
the way we were
"Cause we'll never be the way we were.................."
this is NOT an easy song to get right!
I guess that is why I like it as much as I do..........
this song is awesome. I'm not a fan of live music unless I'm actually present but I like this. she was so healthy looking. no one's thighs should look like arms, ijs. I love this broad. what a voice. she moved me and still does. she has no more demons and troubles now. she's at peace and since her peace meant that she could no longer be here I'm ok with it.
The lyrics to this song really illustrate how smart of a young lady she was. This captures the sibling rivalry brother sister thing perfectly. The evolution of the brother sister thing into older adulthood out of young adulthood, she articulates it so well. Anybody whoever went through it or witnessed siblings go through it know she nailed it. Beautifully sophisticated song writing. Amy you are so missed.
It's amazing how we're all talking about how good she is here when during this and October Song she looks so frustrated with herself when a note isn't perfect. She couldn't see how great she was.
