How can i tell, there is no peace for anyone Now, the song of death
The i heard a sound i feared, i am the stars up above
my cubs for suckling
I cannot explain, helpless to die
Save drops of rain, i dreamed i was a grey seal Phillips, while this pest remains
Now what are they doing to my little friends, in pastures grazing, i heard no more
I heard no more, save childrens cries
I heard no more, we know so well Anthony, i dreamed i was a big bear
How can i tell, i am the moon
The song of death, now what are they doing to my little friends
All smeared in blood, i cannot explain
I am the sun, the i heard a sound i feared
his senseless mind cannot retain
while this pest remains
We know so well, i make everything and it all dies in the end, i dreamed i was a big bear
Bespectacled and brown, there is no peace for anyone Now, i cannot explain
I am the moon, save childrens cries (Are, all smeared in blood
I am the stars up above, and then i heard a hunting-horn, and the i saw their coats
i dreamed i was an otter
I am the sun, i am the sun, and the i saw to shafts of fire
I knew my fate, in sheltered leats i lay
save drops of rain
I am the moon, and the i saw to shafts of fire Phillips, i dreamed i was an otter
I make everything and it all dies in the end, the night is quiet for otters
Ant is such a dear spirit - another of the amazing Genesis guys who really mean what they say.
Not heard this song for quite a while - powerful stuff and an almost impossible-to-watch video.
Great work, both from the brilliant Ant and from the person responsible for the accompanying video.
AMAZING SONG & INTERPRETATION OF IT.
I guess that the two gays that voted negative are hunters.
Long live ANTHONY PHILLIPS & ANIMALS (may be humans, but we still "them", but much more stupids).
Just because what we see is obvious, ...it doesn't mean we have to be a part of the suffering of the innocent. It doesn't mean we should cause insideous fear and pain, when there are clearly better alternatives. Perhaps it is our destiny to be caring and Loving creatures, ...no matter what cruelty is put before us. Maybe that's what God is waiting for, ...learning to care for each other and all creatures. Step away from the blindness and suffering we cannot see, and into the Light of Love.
thank you for this -- very difficult to watch -- I cannot help but seethe in anger and abhor the people that commit these utter atrocities -- pure evil the way things have gone on this planet toward the helpless including humans --- so very sad -- will it change for better?
Great song, and impressive video. Too bad you put PETA in the tags. That perverts an otherwise good message, by linking it with an insane group of profiteering extremists who haven't helped a single animal, but have killed many.
Why does the song belong to the video? Because I thought it went very well with it. I'm sorry if you missed the point of it all. I'm trying to get people to stop killing innocent creatures. Maybe after a while like that, they'll even stop killing people. It's just this hope and dream I have for a better world.
I couldn't agree with you more c shel, ...and thanks. Just because we see violence all around us, it doesn't mean we have to be a part of it. Since the beginning of our planet, and the billions of species that have ever lived, we humans are the only ones who ever had a choice. To walk away from the unnecessary killing, ...perhaps this is what our creator wishes us to learn, and why we're here. I've been a vegetarian for 30 years, and climbed Mt Katadhin in Maine for my 70th birthday
hi thepofmeister...,
...and I'm pleased you were moved by the video, but please, ...and in the spirit of this video, do not harm anyone, human or otherwise. I of course share your rage, but I understand also that people, ...like myself have to learn to Love, and to find our answers and solutions in that spirit. I wasn't always the person and vegetarian I am now, and violence can only breed more violence. Touching one's heart is always the better, and a permanent solution, ...don't you agree?
It all dies in the end even without human intervention. The " I am sun, I am moon, I am stars" bit is meant to take a god's perspective. Given the evidence of our eyes about the way nature works how is that any more lovy dovy?
