Chuck Schuldiner was the most amazing man. My sadness for his death is unbelievable. His passion was immeasurable.

. Misanthrope From above and around, observations are collected Knowledge is taken in by curious life forms That may bring hope from beyond Beneath the giver of life, our sun An examination of another kind is done A view from those who stood high And breathing the sky An opinion from below and from above Some were decided, some were not A few looked away, but none forgot [Chorus:] Misanthrope Hater of all mankind There is some hope For those who own their mind They came, they saw and acknowledged Some good, some bad Opinion: Dangerous [Solo: Schuldiner] Stay where you are, don't get consumed By what they created from sheer neglet In denial of years and years of shattered souls That were lost to the power of Fragile, frightful minds A view from those who stood high And breathing the sky An opinion from below and from above Some were decided, some were not A few looked away, but none forgot [Repeat chorus]

My brother was born on the same day as Chuck and sadly, he has passed away too. I discovered Death at a young age because of my brother.

1:59, that little riff is so simple, but executed so well, I love it!

I know it's weird, but death even if heavy brings tears to my eyes. Weird a band that heavy can do that to you. Chuck is that kind of genius. Brilliant lyrics that make your think deep about life, melodious riffs that make you wonder how he makes those sound so apt and beautiful and those guitars and drums and their musicianship. RIP Chuck but your songs forever lives on.

I love everything by death and I love the whole song, but 1:59 is why I only listen to DEATH and not cannibal corpse ect.

Pantera started Groove Metal, Dimebag Darrell was a great guitarist and I'm not saying just because I like their music; Dimebag has been recognized as a great musician by many including Van Halen himself, he respected and admired him so much that he put his original Bumblebee guitar in Dime's casket. Chuck is the great father of Death Metal and his legacy lives; they're both great bands that you can't compare since they both laid ground for their own styles.
