Only Milo can pull off a "Walter Mitty" reference in a punk rock song. Pure GENIUS.

What's the use in dreaming when dreams never come true?

Such a great song. So angst-ridden and honest to start. We all feel this way so many times. Then the end redeems itself. You've gotta get up off your ass, pull your head out and take a chance. You've got one life. Your own mind is usually always your biggest impediment. Period.

I've been listening to the Descendents since I was 14 years old. I am almost 10 years older now and it's weird to think about how much the meaning of their songs has changed to me. It sounded a lot crude in a time in which I was still an angsty teenager but full of dreams, so many I would feel them overflow from my hands. I had the general rage and sadness all teenagers have but I still had my dreams. Right now I have no idea of what I want to be, and this songs actually represents what I've been doing the past 2 years: laying down, doing nothing. But as depressing as it does sound this song gives me a lil hope; it says Why bother? But it can be seen from different perspectives. One can decide not to bother and give up on his dreams but also try to pursue them despite the chaotic mess we call life might abruptly stop everything at any minute.

Go out of style?! That involves style and fashion and F all that! This group is the only one I've ever seen that never sold out! They still writing songs about farting, bio-engineering better vegetables, reading the paper with a bonus cup, and if you look into it Bill, the real heart of the band, has put together almost every single musical act out there that is worth hearing! Amazing bunch of punks! Keep punkin it out ALL! Love you guys!
