Thanks for posting this, the originally released version. You don't find it very often. People are used to hearing the later, orchestrated versions, and when my band and I played this 'country' version, folks commented that we played it too fast! The later versions are allot slower tempo. I prefer this era of Eddy Arnold's career.

My Grandfather passed away this morning from Als, he was a fighter and did not go out without a fight. This was his favorite song. I will hold this song dear as long as I live. Rest in piece Olin. You had a damn fine 84 years...

I remember Eddy !! I had to edit a vid for an ex-friend last year :) I am not a country girl, even do not have a hat and a horse, but I like this one. Sounds pretty and getting roses is always beautiful. All Thumbs Up !!!
