This song is a good reminder that during the so-called Golden Age of Rock n Roll,not all music was Little Richard,Buddy Holly,or Elvis. Fabian epitomises the "pretty face " genre of singer that was around in those days,with Frankie Avalon and a whole lot of other one hit wonders.

they did everything they could to bury his actual voice behind as much overblown reverb and echo as they had available at the time, desperately trying to EQ any sharp edges off a voice that had no refined ones. it would be like you were cookin' up some roadkill - you'd use A LOT OF SPICES. :-D
