Back in '91/'92 when I was in high school I heard someone say that this is the best song that was ever made. I don't know what Fishbone was thinking when they wrote it or when they played it for the first time together. It sounds like gospel but it's not really gospel. Sounds like funk but not funk as it was known. It almost has a Motown soul feel in it also but unlike any other soul tune. It has a ska sound but of the rarest form.... .....thats what I always liked about Fishbone in those days; they could discover and kick out a rare combination of sounds, grooves and jams in one song that can never be repeated, and then the moment is gone. I don't know how to explain this song there is no category or label for it no definition-but it is timeless.

Fun fact: John Cusack is a huge Fishbone fan, and during the iconic scene in "Say Anything" of him holding the boom box over his head outside the girl's house, THIS is the song that was actually playing. The producers thought it wasn't mass-appeal enough, so they dubbed in Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" instead.

How could you not love or hate Fishbone ?! There is no in between. To me they are the butters one if the best bands in all of music history!! Fishbone soljuhs!
