She broke down and let me in
Made me see where I’d been
Been down one time
Been down two times
I’m never going back again
You don’t know what it means to win
Come round and see me again
Been down one time
Been down two times
I’m never going back again
This song reminds me of being a kid. Being at the cottage with my mom and all the adults would sit around the camp fire with their guitars and sing. As a kid I thought it was the lamest thing ever..but man alive! What I would do to go back in time for just one night
I’ve never heard this version, it has other stuff going on in the background
One of the few songs that never gets old, no matter the amount of repeats
Its amazing what music does to the memory
She broke down and let me in
Made me see where I've been
Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm never going back again
You don't know what it means to win
Come down and see me again
Been down one time
Been down two times
I'm never going back again
My mom gave me this cassette tape in 1996, my step father was dying of cancer. It was such a hard time in my very young life. I played this tape til it broke. It helped through the hardest thing I have ever gone through.
This album was the first one my mum ever owned when she was 12 in 1977. I bought a vinyl copy of it for her for her 52nd birthday. 40 years and she still loves it!
My parents asked what I was playing .
They absolutely loved it!
Dad also loved Zeppelin!
He remarked about how much he loved effort!
Mom and Dad also allowed me my life.
As mine!
If you want to smoke pot; do it either outside or in the basement.
I don’t like that smell.
And don’t become a heroin addict.
With a cigarette in her hand!
God!
We had our battles!
I will always love her!
Me Mum!
