Beautiful lullaby inspired when FT was homesick I understand. I am grateful that his response was not anger/bitterness at being away as that might have produced a very different effect! Blessings and peace to all who feel today as the composer did all those years ago
Thank you for commenting Paul.
The goal is to express this music the best I can at this moment, even if it's not the best, since it doesn't exist.
I use a Zoom H2 digital recorder with integrated stereo microphones. It delivers very good results and recording is a piece of cake.
Best regards,
In 1881, Tárrega played in the Opera Theatre in Lyon and then the Paris Odeon, in the bicentenary of the death of Pedro Calderón de la Barca. He also played in London, but he liked neither the language nor the weather. There is a story about his visit to England. After a concert, some people saw that the musician was in low spirits. "What is the matter, maestro?" they asked him. "Do you miss home? Your family, perhaps?" They advised him to capture that moment of sadness in his music. Thus he conceived the theme of one of his most memorable works, Lágrima (literally meaning teardrop).
Im here because this random guy was like "do you know what lagrima is" while we were talking about classical guitar books and such. If you're out there random guy, lots of love brother.
