One of this nice songs you I could listen to on Radio Luxemburg in 1975 when I still was in my teens. It was a long hot summer this year that lasted until the end of August. Not a cloud in sight!
This was originally sung by The Shadows in the UK song for Europe of 1975. coming 4th.Gary than had a Top 20 hit with his composition later that year. Its a charming melancholic song.
Gary entered another song 'All Cried Out' in the UK SFE of 1981 but came =4th.
Reminds me of being 16 years old again and the first time I really fell in love, it wasn't to be, but it still brings back great memories of good times and a past love
Memories! This song was actually climbing up the UK national charts, until the record label's owner and distributors (B & C aka Trojan Records went bankrupt) it originally came out on Mooncrest (whose's biggest artist were a rock band called Nazareth!) a mainly Rock / Pop subsidiary of Trojan Records who were at the time the largest Reggae record label in the UK. By the time that it was licensed to State Records, a good few months had past and it lost momentum. Though I think that it eventually managed to get to around number 20.
