The comments on this video are the most wholesome thing I’ve ever read, George would be so happy knowing that we all still love and care for him and his music, and the fact that 14 year olds like me are listening to his music and feeling hundreds of emotions when listening.
We all love and miss you, George
Lying on the hood of my car with a broken fan belt in Boston at a filling station, wondering what I can do with $3.78 in my pocket. (short $2.00) to get it fixed. Listening to this song over and over again. (It was a top song at the time) It kind of made my day.In 1973, people were more inclined to help out back then. And yes, I did make it back home to Leicester, ma. Thanks for all the companies that helped me at that time. Some things you never forget...…….(pay it forward my friends)
This was my girls lull-a-bye, I sang it to her every night, squeezing her little hand in mine when he sings Please take hold of my hand,,,Well, she is a teenager now, and she just ran in...and out of the house, I hardly see her these days. I miss her, so I come here and remember...and I know this has been instilled in her, she will be back. She is out experiencing her life as we all must do.
But man, do I miss her. Thank you brother George. Thank you for giving this world your love.
Thank You George; you made me a better person.
While you were dying, I was trying to get to work. It was raining and the traffic was shit. I was taking every side street I could, pissed off as all hell and then, "What is Life" came on the radio (My all time favorite George Harrison solo song) and suddenly it was all good. I was pounding on the canvas top of my Jeep in time to that incredible beat and I was happy.
When I heard the next day that you had died, I was devastated.
I felt bad, and still do, that I had been rocking out to your music, when you were literally dying.
Intellectually, I know that you would have been happy to have made such a positive effect on someone, but emotionally, it just feels like such a betrayal to you.
Almost 17 years later, I still cry as I wright this.
Again. Thank You.
You made me a better person.
THIS is my favourite George Harrison song. I think it's one of those rare songs that when you hear it, the song wraps itself around you like a warm blanket and you never want it to end. Or is that just me?
Who here is listening to George? Listen to his words that are coming through his soul and find solace in the fact that we all keep going. He was the light that lit the torch to take all of ya believers beyond this rock floating around this particular sun.
