Sir, do you happen to know of a song by him, i thinks its called 'The women', my father played it for me many years ago, and laughed so hard at my 12 year old indignation at being told we were "the enemy".ive never heard it since and would absolutely love to find it again. I've discovered many treasures of his in my search and will continue to look, i would appreciate any help you could give me, thank you =)
A melancholy, meditative lovely song done in Yarbrough's beautiful voice. Thank you posting this ; even as a kid when I first heard this song it reminded me of my grandparents' and uncles' and aunts' fading homes. And now it's my turn.
This was one of my favorites in 1965. I still have this album. At age 19, I didn't realize then how much "rusting in the rain" I'd do over the years. But 51 years later, I know it has been a good journey. Thanks for the wonderful photos you added. So sad that Glen died on Thursday. He was great.
20+ years ago I got to spend a day in a Los Angeles recording studio with Glenn. What a great experience. He still had that great voice. I remember this day because it was on my birthday (June 2). I believe it was 1992. I even offered a suggestion during the recording process. They used my suggestion, and the producer said "you probably want album credit now!!" Said "No, just a copy of the new album." Had seen Glenn in concert in Chicago in 1970 or 1971. Unbelievable voice live.
