Alllow me to share a personal experience. Many years ago, I lived in a commune of Sufis. They were beautiful, spiritual, open-minded people who accepted all religions into their community. All were accepted with open arms. They even set aside one day of the week for each religion to use their temple for their own style of worship. Their concern was each person's spirit, not the form of the worship (i.e., religion). John knew many religions and understood this distinction, as does miss9starr7.
John Lennon wrote of his word's based on his knowledge during the Viet Nam War, a war I acutely know. Now...Imagine...Lennon's words appropriate to today, 2020. Imagine. Imagine. He, Lennon, did not know at his writing, then, the appropriateness of how effective of his words in the future, meaning years to come. I, we, all of us, should give esteem to these words, Lennon's words. Very appropriate to today, 2020.
