Man o man o man, what a tune. Awesome. Unreal. Love every single second of it but I particularly love that part at the end where Pollard sings "A miracle cure for my sorrow/With pillows of self-esteem/Alone in a satellite dream/But I can't forget about a world/Where every beam I choose/Is shining alone on you/Shining alone on you, yeah!/Shining alone on you, yeah!/Shining alone on you, yeah!/Shining alone on yooouuuuuuu..."
That's greatness, bros.
You know alot of my friends have bitched about "Well that was supposed to be their last show, and their last album. He is just desperate for money is the reason he keeps coming back"
Uncle Bobby is young in spirit, don't think for a second he isnt passionate about what he does. Be thankful he is still making amazing music in the sea of shit. I am turning 21 soon, and I quiver at the thought of getting to see him live. Hope GBV comes to the Orange Peel soon, cant wait to see that famous high-kick
Yes I love GBV. But I listen to other stuff. And then occasionally a phrase tripping in my mind sets me off on one song, then another and another, until I’m on a full scale binge, brain and ears crammed with the hot-cold fuzzy goo of GBV/Pollard until my heart sings and mind soars and I am just effin’ high, because it doesn’t matter if I’m sitting at an office desk I will probably die at or that outside it’s hell or that life is passing by all too quickly…These guys got me.
I crept from a soft dimension
Where one of my souls was lighter
And landed painfully
Into my big chance suit
But I didn't really need it
To stay awake
'Cause this is not my day
And nobody really cares
Anymore anyhow
And nobody called again
'Cause they say that I'm too lazy
to stay alive
Everyday it's another world
With every change of tomorrow
Hung over and hungry to fix it
A miracle cure for my sorrow
With pillows of self-esteem
Alone in a satellite dream
Where I can't forget about a world
Where every beam I choose
is shining alone on you
Shining alone on you
Yeah!
Everyday it's another world
With every change of tomorrow
Hung over and hungry to fix it
A miracle cure for my sorrow
With pillows of self-esteem
Alone in a satellite dream
Where I can't forget about a world
Where every beam I choose
is shining alone on you
Shining alone on you
Yeah!
