This song makes me cry uncontrollably jackie voice is wonderful i always place my hand over his ♥ feels like it is still beating. My wonderful one jackie wilson. Tammy Deniece,
Oh no, I haven't seen any of my favorite singers perform live but I still want to if they ever come to where I live (the ones that are alive obviously). I'm 31 and most of my favorite singers were popular before I was born.
My wife and I were married at the end of 1960 and this was the song that told of my feelings for her. She's been gone for ten years now, wish she was still here to play this for her.
I was 14 when this song was released. I was mesmerized then. I still am. The man simply has no equal. Tone, range, power, every positive adjective that can describe a male voice applies to Jackie Wilson.
What classical or traditional piece was this melody borrowed from? Don't get me wrong, he does great with it, but the melody sounds like it's of European/Mediterranean origin.
This is such a beautiful song and yet it wasn't in his list... People are sure going to miss great vocals from a great guy.It was always my favorite....it got me into opera. My husband was drafted in 61, married 2 weeks, and I cried myself to sleep many nights listening to this. But I love all music...and have a great collection. Even Jackie's old 33 album of his greatest hits. I played music constantly, all the time. My kids were raised to tunes playing thru the house. They would tell ME to turn it down..lol All their friends thought I was so cool... None of them played an instrument, but I made sure my grandkids got into it....they love it too. I told them as long as they have their music they'd never be bored! Now they play piano and guitar and compose their own. Last week my Bowes wasn't working and I was so down about it. I didn't have to say how I felt, my grandson came home from college to fix it for me...:) For all you young parents out there....give the gift that keeps on giving...music.
Thrilling to hear him and an amazing
vocalist to watch live in performance...
