This song "Give Me Half A Chance" was one of the Recording sessions songs for 'Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5' in 1969. Including
"To Sir, with Love"
"Oh, I've Been Blessed"
"Sunny Boy"
"You Can't Hurry Love"
"You've Really Got a Hold on Me"
"La-La Means I Love You"
"That's What Love Is Made Of"
"Twenty Five Miles"
So yes, this was a Motown song, but never released until 1986. Maybe b/c Diana Ross left MJ and married another guy, and thought this was the right time to release it, lol.
Incredible vocal range! It is shear delight listioning to Michaels sweet voice...He sang with such heart and passion...through the decades...each and every song. No one will ever grace this planet like him again! Oh how we miss him...
Alright, here's why Michael was such a genius: He knows how to interpret with such apropriate feelings, a very difficult song, difficult in the sense of putting the emphasis exactly where it's supposed to be, singing with persistency (the theme of this song) and reaching the highest notes. And when he sings (2nd time) "love put us two together", his child voice sounds so mature. He puts his whole heart into the song. It's MAGIC.
"Give me half a chance" by Michael Jackson is an incredible song that is emotionally intense. The lyrics are very personal and very mature. I feel the passion in the words as they are song with perfection. Every moment is Magic! Michael I love you my angel!
