I just get more attached to you, all i think about is our love
it s when i think of you
i m so in love
When you re not around, when i think of you, nothing else seems to matter
I just get more attached to you, i just get more attached to you Think, nothing else seems to matter
All i think about is our love, when i think of you
it s when i think of you
I just get more attached to you, anytime my world gets crazy, it s when i think of you
and you leave me making me blue
when i think of you
nothing else seems to matter
nothing else seems to matter
it s when i think of you
When you re not around, when i think of you
It s when i think of you, i m so in love You, anytime my world gets crazy
I just think of you, it s when i think of you Janet, when you re not around
Is just think of you, it s when i think of you, nothing else seems to matter
when i think of you
I just get more attached to you, all i have to do to calm it
It s when i think of you, is just think of you You, when i think of you
When you re not around, nothing else seems to matter, when you re not around
All i have to do to calm it, nothing else seems to matter Jackson, when i think of you
I had a girlfriend, long ago, who said this song expressed how she felt about me. I was unfamiliar with the song, but when I heard it, and saw the video, I was duly impressed, not only with the talented Ms. Jackson, but for the feelings the song conveyed. I hope she knew I felt the same, too.
This is what Paula Abdul said about this video:
"There was only one edit in this entire video. Otherwise, it was all one take. It was very, very, very labor-intensive. I worked with Julian Temple, who was the director, and we brought in [legendary choreographer] Michael Kidd. At the time I think Michael was in his late sixties, and it was an honor to be able to work with someone who was around during the MGM classics, who understood what we were trying to do. We brought him in to work with us to really make it seamless, and it was incredible.
"There were so many performers in that video, and just being able to get every scene knocked out and timed perfectly… oh my God, we probably spent an entire day just mapping it out, without a camera at first, and then an entire day working with the steadicam operator. We used an entire soundstage on the Fox lot. There were so many moving parts to it. It was a lot of rehearsal; I think we had four days altogether on the soundstage. I had a ton of extras, character actors, fire hydrants going off at the right timing. It was insane! But it was so rewarding, and every member of that video — from production to every single extra to every dancer — felt like something huge was accomplished. It was big."
This song reminds me of high school, when I first started to drive and my mom finally let me take the car out on my own, it was a 1981 silver Pontiac Firebird and the thing bumped, even with a stock stereo, I got my permit in April of '85 but she didn't let me get my license until September '86, and when this song came on the radio I cranked it, I remember just driving around on a hot day, both windows rolled down, and just cranking this song, man, I miss those days.
I’m a 13 year old boy but, I understand the way and why people love the 80s and 90s so much. Everything was so much happier and real then music today, and I totally agree. And just every time I watch a 80s or 90s Show or movie or listen music from that timeline, I feel like crying just cuz how classy and beautiful everything was back then. Just wish I was apart of it...
I am in this video. I’m at the 3:25 mark. The guy dressed in black arguing with the girl in the red dress. I was Paula Abdul‘s apartment manager at a time in Hollywood. She did the choreography for Janet Jackson’s videos at the time. Was at the studio for two days for me to get all of one or two seconds on screen..
