I love the guitar work of holdsworth here. so sleazy and sexy. ponty coming in to back him up later tips the scales back into some dream age galaxy. the whole song takes you to another world. actually the entire album does. truly a great album.

!!!!!!!!!!!! one of the best all time guitar solos by Allan Holdsworth, ever ... not even describable, just off the charts - and in a frame of reference, among almost ALL heavy guitar gods, back in 1975-76-77, virtually NONE of them could even figure out what he was doing.... kudos to Daryl Stuermer on rhythm, here, for even sitting in on this session... another almost forgotten great. AH totally blew everybody away, here - and the the Satrianis and Vais and Gambales... (love them all) --- where were they in 1977? AH was, is a guitarist pioneer at the very very top of the mountain.... proved himself in rock, fusion, jazz, all of it. Priceless song here, and placed side by side with AH's solo on Nostalgic Lady (same LP) - equally, perhaps, stunning... no guitarist was ever the same again, after hearing this precious Ponty album hit in 1977. I had to make my own pilgrimage, to meet AH the master, which i eventually did, after hearing this one. Thank you for this post, and, commentary.

I think the one dislike was merely by accident. I can't imagine anyone not liking this piece of brilliant music!
