Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene, Pt. 5 download song

Magnificent ! One of the best Jarre's songs

If it were not for my dad, I'd never know about Jean Michel Jarre. I can remember being 4 or 5 years old and listening to this as my dad played it on the record player back in the late 80's. I'm 29 now and I still enjoy listening to this artist, and I hope to pass it on to my son. The scary part is realizing 2 things: 1) My dad really IS "that cool", and, 2) How wrong I was to doubt him! lol

Sadly I wasn't born yet when Oxygene came out. I'm from 1977. First heard of JMJ when I was in my last year of primary school on a friends tape with synthesizer music. Also met Vangelis and Kraftwerk that way. Since then I've been collecting :) I'm 34 now. So I can safely state that JMJ's music will accompany me for the rest of my life :)

May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is a big fan of this track and this album.

This is my favorite Jarre track. Something very special about it.

After I lost a pregnancy, I always imagined the 1st part of this song depicted life, and death, in utero.

Sitting here listening to this in a wild storm of wind and rain outside is atmospheric!! 40 years on, I've never grown tired of this piece.

Love his music. Saw him at the Docklands, Manchester and the indoor concert in London, what year was that, I can't remember!

My dad had this album, now he's gone away. I wish he could come back.
