If it were not for my dad, I'd never know about Jean Michel Jarre. I can remember being 4 or 5 years old and listening to this as my dad played it on the record player back in the late 80's. I'm 29 now and I still enjoy listening to this artist, and I hope to pass it on to my son. The scary part is realizing 2 things: 1) My dad really IS "that cool", and, 2) How wrong I was to doubt him! lol
Sadly I wasn't born yet when Oxygene came out. I'm from 1977. First heard of JMJ when I was in my last year of primary school on a friends tape with synthesizer music. Also met Vangelis and Kraftwerk that way. Since then I've been collecting :)
I'm 34 now. So I can safely state that JMJ's music will accompany me for the rest of my life :)
