To the idiots who dont appreciate Beck's playing: Go find me ONE - just ONE - other guitarist on the planet that can make that song - or ANY of his songs - SOUND like that. Every waiter in Nashville can play 16th notes at 100bmp, rip the frets off the guitar with blinding athletic ability. But NO ONE - literally - can do with a guitar what Jeff Beck can. If you can't appreciate that then very simply: something is wrong with you.

I was there because I worked in Ronnie's at that time and got the responsability of taking care of the band. I am mexican and when I was 18 went to London for one year. I started working in Ronnie's and then came the news about Jeff playing... He played 7 times in 5 days. I worked the whole week because supposedly I was being profesional but really I was living the most surreal and incredible week of my life so far. The music you can imagine. But meeting them and Tal being myself a bass player was the best. I also saw a bunch of world class rockstars those days. I made and brought a cappuccino for Jimmy Page. That was the highlight of Mr. Beck's week in Ronnie's and surely one of the coolest moment in my life so far.

This is the first song I ever heard which made me ask who's that guy.... this is how I got to know the great Jeff Beck; I later went to see him play live at the Olympia in Paris (France), and I was totally blown! you can recognize it's Jeff playing from mile's away.
He is really amazing, and one of a kind. He aged as good wine does, still playing as if it was his last concert, and still giving it its best!
I recently went to see another virtuoso guitar player, which name I will withhold, and you could clearly define that he had not rehearsed nor prepared for it. Playing on his notoriety reputation, but botching and rushing his music just to get quickly towards the end.
I happened to be alongside another gentleman, and we both agreed we were disappointed.
Thank god for Jeff Beck!

J.Beck has followed his own Muse throughout his musical journey. Played with and admired by the virtuoso of guitar and varied instruments yet his Comet's Tail brightly extends into varied genres. His ability to feel at ease whether in Jazz , Blues , Rock , World or whatever his soul is vibrating to at the time is a mark of being blessed by the " Great , I Am." He's without sexist and racist issues as long as the players can contribute with excellence. I whom have been in music for many decades respectfully bow to a " Master musician " who is boundless in creativity , manipulation of sound and harmoniously generous.......We See and feel you brother JB.
