I used to wake up every saturday morning 9am, my momma would clean the house to this song....she told me to "go outside and play", i finally understand why she asked me to do so....such a mellow, good feelin groove! Cheers to my mother Kathy✌
I remember laying in bed beside my wife one beautiful Summer Saturday morning hearing this on the clock radio.......what a beautiful song, looked over at my wife and thought , "what a lucky man I am" :)
Precious love, I'll give it to you
Blue as the sky and deep
In the eyes of a love so true
Beautiful face, you make me feel
Light on the stairs and lost
In the air of a love so real
You can count on me
Count on my love
Count on me
Count on my love
To see you through
Emerald eyes and China perfume
Caught on the wheel and lost
In the feel of a love so soon
Ruby lips, you make my song
Into the night and saved by
The light of a love so strong
You can count on me
Count on my love
Count on me
Count on my love
To see you through
Woo hoo hoo hoo
You can count on me, girl
(Count on me)
You can count on my love
(Count on my love)
Precious love, I'll give it to you
Blue as the sky and deep
In the eyes of a love so true
Beautiful face, you make me feel
Light on the stairs and lost
In the air of a love so real
You can count on me
Count on my love
Count on me
Count on my love
I dedicate this song to my precious granddaughter Victoria who has had unfortunately has had several obstacles in her path but has managed by the grace of god and her loving family surpassed them and become victorious as her name
COUNT ON ME has a very special meaning to me. I was in JET PILOT TRAINING in the U.S. AIR FORCE at Reese A.F.B in Lubbock, TEXAS. I had just soloed my first jet in UNDERGRADUATE JET PILOT TRAINING in the T-37 jet aircraft. When I returned to my squadron after my initial solo, this song was playing over the loud speaker. For some reason I really connected with it, fell in love with it and I have never forgotten that moment. I went on to earn my wings as an AIR FORCE JET PILOT. This song has been indelibly ensconced in my memory over the years and every time I hear it, tears roll up in my eyes thinking about that wonderful and profound moment I initially heard it. Thanks JEFFERSON STARSHIP for COUNT ON ME and wonderful memories it engenders!!!
