I was listening to the moominvalley soundtrack and one of the songs reminded me of this song, but all I could remember was that it was a night vale song and so I never found it. "storm crosses over Mount Hood" ... Mount Hood is a volcanic cone mountain directly east of Portland Oregon. It's not uncommon to look east from nearly anywhere in the northern Willamette Valley or the Tualatin Valley and see storms crossing over or around Mount Hood. You can also see it from Hood River Oregon, which is on the Columbia, and the site of a lot of wind surfing. The river is just short of a mile wide at Hood River.
