This is the real deal from the original band. His sax and that lead break! Absolutely classic, the soundtrack of late 1950's rock. This must have turned a lot of heads. You could hear it in a caff on the juke box as you walked by.

They ROCKED the Sydney Stadium in 1959. Huge success.

Presumably their tribute to the Buckeye State as they were from Ohio. This plus Crossfire are my faves.

Love this track, the b side to Red River Rock in the UK, I still have the 45 somewhere. Interesting to note that most of the J & the H's guitar solos utilize double stopping to fill out the sound, due to the fact there was no rhythm guitar.

I grew up 50 miles from their hometown of Rossford, Ohio. They played many locations in NW Ohio. No better sax player than Johnny Paris! This and Crossfire are their best songs.

The music that the late Mike Ahern used to open and close his 09.00 - 12.00 morning show on Radio Caroline South in 1966 - 1967. At the end of the first part, at about 00.25, you almost expect his voice to come in!

One of the great instrumentals J&H recorded in 1959.....Johnny was one hell of a Sax player......It sounded great back then and remains so today......thanks for posting

Buckeye was the flip side of Red River Rock, this was one of the first records (45) I ever bought.  Johnny Paris R.I.P.
