Love they say Johnny Otis wrote this. Words OK but the music is the “Bo Diddly beat”

Johnny Otis was Greek and I give him props for making one of the catchiest Rock and Roll songs in the 1950s. He loved R&B music and this is a clear tribute to Bo Diddley. Respect to Johnny Otis.

Love the song, love the car. I was managing a Chevron gas station in '65 when 4 great pretenders pulled up to the pumps in a '58 Impala ragtop, shut it off and hollered "WE ON Fire!" Driver stayed in it and the others bailed, and yes it was on fire! It was a 348 ci 2 four bbl carb setup and the front carb was burning. I came outa the office hollering "Get it away from the pumps".......He did, fired it up and drove it to the side, I told him floor it and opened the hood. Rear carb sucked most of the fire into the engine, I threw a bundle of shop rags onto the burning front carb (fool had no air cleaners on it) and put it out. Close call! Told them don't come back!

Tommy Williams came to shawshank in 1965 on a two year stretch for b&e. That's breaking and entering to you. Cops caught him stealing tvs out the back of a jc penny's. Young punk, mister rock and roll. Cocky as hell. We liked him immediately.
