Julie was a dear friend of mine. She surprised me at the Tropicana in Las Vegas on my 21st birthday by sitting on my lap and singing ""Girl Talk"" to me. Bobby Troup wrote the song for himself. (Neil Hefti composed the music) and later, Bobby adapted it for Julie to sing as well. I still love her - always will! Phil

It took the right combination of Genius & Talent (Neil Hefti, Song Writer/Arranger, Bobby Troup, Lyrics, and his wife, Julie London, vocalist) to produce such a perfect work of art as Girl Talk.. It's like a great painting and should be hanging in a musical Louvre for the world to hear. Every time I listen to it, it edifies my spirit anew.
