this is spectacular…i saw Jon Hendricks in 2003 at London at the jazz cafe and his voice was so strong…his kids were singing with him.it was one of the most uplifting shows i've ever seen. They def influenced the flintstones theme song ..lol….i suppose they were sooooo masterful as vocalists that people weren't able to sing along which kept them more underground.

Lambert Hendricks and Ross were the best jazz group ever. Nobody could scat like Jon Hendricks.

This is so mind blowing!! I have seen many of the great jazz artists of the last 50 years, but this blows me away like nothing else. Exquisite musicianship!

Jon and Dave do a brilliant chase on Airegin, singing long sustained solos unlike the brief tracks on the albums. Jon was a renowned scat singer (and lyricist), but Dave was no slouch and holds his own in his solo and trading fours at a furious tempo.
