My brother is a singer-songwriter and worked in Nashville for a while. I was obsessed with this song, when it first came out but every time the stores got the records in, they would fly off the shelves. I mentioned this to my brother and the next thing I knew, I got a package in the mail with the 45 of Christmas to Christmas. It wasn't a single that was for sale; it was a promo copy, signed by the writer of the song: Alan Brady and Lee Greenwood, who was out of the state at the time. My 45 is in perfect condition, that is the last time I saw it sometime last year. I'll have to search again for it. I love Lee's voice but not his politics. Just sayin'.
I have been looking for the piano sheet music for this song for years. Does anyone know if it is available anywhere? Thanks in advance & Merry Christmas!
its so special how everyone has a favoriate song passed to you by your "older" siblings parents etc.. and brings such a warm and great feeling,, and it doesnt matter what artist, all that matters is that you were there and remember hearing it and it "grows with you" no matter how old you are.. you keep playing it each year and pass it down,, and " it lives on"
I have purchased this album three times and will continue buying it when it wears out. It is absolutely melodically beautiful! His voice is velvet and feels like a nice warm blanket when it wraps around you!!!!
