Without James Brown there's no Rob Base, no Eric B., no Run DMC, no Hammer, no Bruno, no Prince, no Time, no Michael, no Janet, no Justin, no P-Funk, no AWB, no Roger/Zapp, no Chic, no Heatwave - no funk and no hip-hop. There can be only one Godfather!
I remember visiting my Grandparents one summer in Virginia and my grandfather stopped at a hardware store for tools and a cross the the street was a record shop where you can purchase some sounds and this particular record was playing. I stopped in my tra CV is and started dancing . I begged my Grandfather to purchase this record for me and he did.
Man that made my day. I played that record all day
