In Colombia, where I'm from, there was recently discovered a common pit where there were 50 bodies of civilian victims of extrajudicial executions. These were perpetrated under the State pressure to show results in the war against Guerrilla. It was told by an investigated military member, that teens and people on the street were promised jobs, drugged, taken far away in the deep country, and killed. They made them run in a field and shot them to make it look like they died in combat. Then dressed them up as Guerrilla militants and buried them. I immediately returned to this video. Reality is way more frightening than anything we could imagine.

i find it incredible that it's been 6 years since this was released and this still confuses people.
this isn't a message buried in time, this is a metaphor for something legitimately happening that needs to be stopped.

MIA said in an interview that this video was a recreation of what happened to Tamils in Sri Lanka. It's mind-boggling how humans can be so intelligent and sentient and yet so cruel to others not of their own "tribe." I sure hope humans evolve and become more peaceful, and stop fighting over territories and resources. We teach children to share, so why can't adults? We need to be more like the whales in the sea.
