This song was slated to be sung by The Shirelles, but they couldn't make it to the studio that day, so Flo Greenberg gave it to Maxine. I'm so very glad. Also, she recorded another Goffin-King song, "It's Gonna Be Allright".

Wow I remember when this song first came out in 1964 I had just turned 21 years old & my friend brought this record to my apartment I just moved in (not even un packed yet) & we danced to this for the rest of the day! Man those were the good ol'days!! Sing Maxine girl!!

i came back and played this song and got them same ol' goosebumps all over again, first time i ever hit the alnight RnB clubs in soho " the last chance saloon " "the scene " back in december 64 was my introduction to maxine brown and this tune ! it's been in my top ten playlist of magic RnB memories ever since, saw some fairly recent footage of her performing this a few years ago and she could still pull it off , let the good times roll miss brown ! you tick all the boxes for me ! thanks again for the great post futy regards dave
