Blue moon, you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Some one I really could care for
And then you suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked the moon had turned to gold
Blue moon, now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Nice voice. I was watching Night Court and they kept on talking about Mel Torme and I decided to see what Mel sound like. One of the smoothest voices I've heard.
I worship Mel Torme. Saw him in the Bay Area in 1989 .. will never forget it. Or him. I suggest all fans out there immediately listen to his rendition of Lullaby of Birdland. Paradise.
Terrific recording. Mel at his best -- that mellow, velvet long note, every word clear as a bell + a great trumpet! Makes me want to dance again!! Slow, deliciious. . . .
