Woah, the bassline did its own thing for a second there. I wish that happened a little more in Meshuggah.

the intro would be a great opener soundtrack for a thriller movie. and the breakdown at 1:44 is just... just perfect

That's what he said. He has never heard Meshuggah play beats without odd accents or syncopation, and neither have you. Learn to know what you're talking about before you open your mouth, in a figurative sense.

The intro to this song so perfectly paints the picture of a snake approaching and then rearing its head at me in my mind, an absolutely brilliant song.

Why would you need thumbs up? You should be giving your thumbs for the privilege of listening to and playing the godly Meshuggah. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

You're right, they're over the top of awesomeness. I understand Haake write most of their lyrics.

amazing lyrics and instrumental.. drumming is on a different level... Tomas Haake as a drummer is in a league of his own... he also wrote the lyrics to this song..

Meshuggah's most underrated song I reckon. One of my absolute fave's. Breaks my heart they don't play it live. Looks like I'll be heading to the grave without experiencing 2:47 live......MY LIFE HAS BEEN FOR NOTHING!! :'(

Yes, I love how it's basic 4/4 yet repeating riffs over give the impression of ever changing downbeats. I heart syncopation!

Why i love Meshuggah: I have been wearing out my Obzen CD since i bought it over a year ago. I have basically been skipping this track until recently. When i finally started taking it in, i have found that is absolutely one of my favorite tracks on the CD! The same with Glints Collide off of Nothing. I just 'heard' the riff in the middle of it prior to the solo. There are just so many fantastic musical ideas in their stuff it's amazing.

Anyone else think about how that part at 2:00 sounds like a snake slithering and the part at 2:43 just before the break is like it coils up? Just my interpretation. :)
